RadioShack Hires Nick Cannon

RadioShack (Fort Worth, Texas) has hired celebrity entrepreneur and entertainer Nick Cannon to be the company’s chief creative officer.

Cannon will work with the retailer to develop exclusive products as well as advance its educational initiatives. According to USA Today, he hopes to instill his passion for electronics to the next generation. It is also expected that he will perform at events promoting the store and curate the music playlists for RadioShack’s retail stores.

This move appears to be part of the company’s efforts to reinvent itself and appeal to Millennials after having filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year.
