Glendale Galleria, the 1.5-million-square-foot regional shopping center in Glendale, Calif., announced renovations have begun on the center's comprehensive redevelopment project.
“The renovation will add so many fantastic improvements and aesthetic updates to Glendale Galleria,” says Larry Martin, senior general manager, Glendale Galleria. “When all is complete, our customers will enjoy a more modern ambience, enhanced shopping experience.”
Design upgrades to the center will include new stone and tile floors; hand railings and a dramatic new chandelier mounted in the JCPenney Court; new feature elevator; an open-air, outdoor dining and gathering place; an inviting and upscale main entrance from Central Avenue; new signage and graphics throughout the center and around the perimeter; and a modernized food court.
In addition to these enhancements, a new 120,000-square-foot Bloomingdale's store will join Glendale Galleria in the former Mervyn's space. The department store is expected to open in fall 2013.
Glendale Galleria is owned and managed by Chicago-based General Growth Properties.
