Rocky Mountain Chocolate Expanding into Frozen-Yogurt

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Inc. (Durango, Colo.) plans to launch a chain of self-serve frozen-yogurt stores through subsidiary Aspen Leaf Yogurt, reports the Denver News.

The candymaker and store franchiser has signed two Aspen Leaf Yogurt store leases, with four more in negotiation stages.

“We strongly believe our new self-serve frozen yogurt franchise concept, Aspen Leaf Yogurt, represents a natural complement to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory brand,” says chairman and ceo Frank Crail.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate and its franchisees operate 352 stores in 37 states, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
