Rolling Out the Welcome Mat

Fashion designer Sigrid Olsen (Wakefield, Mass.) is expanding her store network, opening three new stores in the next week. Doors will open at her new stores in Memphis, at The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, Tenn.; in northern New Jersey at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, N.J.; and in Massachusetts at The Burlington Mall in Burlington, Mass.

While this will be the designer’s first store in Tennessee, it will be her fourth in New Jersey (other locations are in Ridgewood, Shrewsbury and Freehold) as well as in Massachusetts (Boston, Chestnut Hill and Hingham).

The new stores showcase Olsen’s sportswear line in a relaxed, comfortable shopping environment that brings to life the company motto of “vision/art/clothing/life” through the artistry and beauty of the space and its contents. Interior touches included honey-stained gauged oak, raw black metal, woven sisal carpets and antique items.

“My goal is to create an uplifting experience for the consumer in an environment designed for meeting her lifestyle needs,” says Olsen.
