Saks’ Canadian Debut

Saks Fifth Avenue (New York) has plans to open two full-line stores in Toronto next year. These will be the first Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Canada.

The first store will open in Eaton Centre on Queen Street Feb. 18, and Feb. 25, the second will open at Sherway Gardens. The stores are 163,000 square feet and 150 square feet in size, respectively.

The design of the Eaton location is expected to reflect the grandeur of the brand’s flagship store in New York, while the Sherway Gardens one will offer a more contemporary, open-format concept, reports a press release.

Both stores will include women’s and men’s designer ready-to-wear, designer handbags, a beauty department, hair salon and spa and a men’s made-to-measure lounge. Each will also include 10022-SHOE, which is the brand’s shoe salon that showcases a variety of luxury designer brands, as well as unique restaurant concepts.
