Liz Claiborne Inc. (New York) has officially changed its name to Fifth & Pacific Cos. The company announced the plans to change its name in January, following the sale of its Liz Claiborne and Monet brands to JCPenney Co. in 2011.

“As we say a final goodbye to the iconic Liz Claiborne name, we know the time is right for a change, and we welcome our bright new future as Fifth & Pacific Companies,” ceo William McComb said in a statement.
