Second 365 by Whole Foods Store Planned

Whole Foods (Austin, Texas) has announced plans to open its second 365 by Whole Foods Market store. This store will be located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and is slated to open July 14.

The store is intending to lure more customers by partnering with two Portland-area restaurants that will operate within the store: Next Level Burger (Portland) offers a plant-based menu that includes burgers, fries and shakes; and Canteen (Portland) will offer customers a healthy café and juice bar. These business collaborations are being called “Friends of 365,” and both will establish their own shops within the stores with specially curated menus.

The hope, according to a press release, is for the in-store eateries to “enhance the store experience” and turn the store into a “destination for healthy, fast casual eating as well as convenient grocery shopping.”

The first 365 by Whole Foods Market store will open next month near Los Angeles, and up to 11 additional stores are expected to open by the end of 2017.
