Shipt Appoints New CEO

Kamau Witherspoon

Last-mile delivery service Shipt (Birmingham, Ala.) has named Kamau Witherspoon as its new CEO beginning March 1, according to a press release. Current CEO Kelly Caruso will move to an advisory role through April 1.

“With momentum in our business and a talented, purpose-driven team, I’m confident Shipt will continue to stand out as the premier choice for same-day delivery for both our loyal customers and expanding network of retail partners,” he said.

Witherspoon has held leadership positions in retail, healthcare and food service at brands including UnitedHealthcare, Yum! Brands and, most recently, Target, which purchased Shipt in 2017.
