ShopEast 2000

The National Association of Display Industries'(NADI) annual December marketplace in New York was bustling, from the new exhibit hall at the Metropolitan Pavilion to the 25 participating showrooms around the neighborhood. Designers, retailers, manufacturers and suppliers gathered to find out what's new in the display industries and to enjoy Christmastime in New York.

At NADI's opening night “Manhattan Magic” party at the Metropolitan Pavilion, the association honored five industry notables: David Chu, president of Nautica; Linda Fargo, creative director for Bergdorf Goodman; Patricia Fields, visual merchandiser; Candy Pratts Price, VH1, formerly of Bloomingdales and Vogue; Kenny Scharf, artist and designer of Pucci mannequins; and Vera Wang, fashion designer. More than 300 industry professionals gathered for the event.
