Shopko (Green Bay, Wis.) has named Mike Bettiga executive vice president and chief operating officer, responsible for store operations, legal, real estate, and logistics. Jill Soltau has been appointed executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
Bettiga, who began his career with Shopko as a pharmacist in 1977, has held many positions during his tenure, including executive leadership of store, pharmacy and optical operations, retail health merchandising, and responsibility for the Shopko Express stores.
Soltau has more than 20 years experience in the retail industry, including senior level positions in merchandising, planning and private brand at Sears and Kohl’s department stores. She joined Shopko in 2007 as senior vice president general merchandise manager of apparel and accessories.
Shopko Stores Operating Co., an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc., operates stores in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions, including 136 Shopko stores and 6 Shopko Express Rx stores.
