Silver Jeans to Roll Out New Concept

Silver Jeans Co. (Winnipeg, Man.) will open five new-concept stores this year, beginning in July with a unit in The Woodlands Mall, Woodlands, Texas.

During a five-month period, the denim company will also open at La Plaza Mall (McAllen, Texas); Stonebriar Centre Mall (Frisco, Texas); Mall of America (Bloomington, Minn.); and Glendale Galleria (Los Angeles).

The long-range plan calls for 25 to 30 stores in the next five years and about 50 over the course of the next decade.

The store concepts, created by the Tersigni Palachek Design Collective (Palisades, N.Y.), are built around the idea of an industrial-feel urban loft apartment.
