Dillard's Inc. (Little Rock, Ark.) announced the upcoming closure of three Dillard's locations. The move reflects the company's continuing initiative to close under-performing stores.

The company will close its Bashford Manor and Louisville Galleria stores in Louisville, Ky., and its Springdale Mall store in Mobile, Ala. A specific timetable for the closures was not disclosed.

“We remain strongly committed to our customers and associates in the Louisville and Mobile markets,” says president Alex Dillard. “We are looking forward to serving our Louisville and Mobile shoppers at our remaining Dillard's locations in those communities. Accordingly, we are currently working to place our associates from the closing stores in our remaining area locations.”

Dillard's is one of the nation's largest fashion apparel and home furnishings retailers, operating 336 stores in 29 states.
