Sportsman’s Warehouse Names Exec

Sportsman’s Warehouse (Midvale, Utah) has named Jon Barker as its new president and coo.

Former vp global officer at Walmart, Barker served as president and ceo of online home furnishings retailer hayneedle.com, as well as group leader for home and outdoor furnishings categories for U.S. e-commerce across Walmart.com, Jet.com and hayneedle.com, reports Chain Store Age.

His 25 years of retail experience also include a stint as senior vp of distribution-logistics at Cornerstone Brands, including Frontgate, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road and Improvements.
