Sprint Nextel Corp. Overland Park, Kan.) plans to add green product sections to its store to highlight eco-friendly products and services. “When customers walk into a Sprint retail store, they will be greeted by the information they need to make earth-friendly wireless choices,” says ceo Dan Hesse.

The news builds on Sprint’s earlier commitment to implement a sustainable design blueprint for all future retail stores and refurbishments. Products featured in the new green section will include carrying cases made of recycled materials and the new Reclaim cell phone from Samsung, which is made of 80 percent recyclable materials.

The electronics and wireless communications retailer has also committed to reduce its paper usage 30 percent over the next five years.
