Starbucks Reserve Launches Chengdu Flagship

Starbucks has opened a flagship for its Starbucks Reserve concept in Chengdu, China. Located in the recently-opened Chengdu Taikoo Li retail and entertainment district, the store is the eighth for the Reserve concept in China. Starbucks Reserve offers small-lot arabica coffees from around the world. The design of the new store features Sichuan-inspired tiles, silk artwork by local artists, and warm wood tones chosen for their similarity to those in the nearby and historic Daci Temple.

The store is Starbucks’ first flagship in the region. The three-story space features a first floor coffee bar, a second floor with lounge seating, and a third floor loft space for private parties. Starbucks China Design Studio, one of the company’s 18 in-house design offices, designed the space. In China, Starbucks operates about 1400 stores in 84 cities.
