Starbucks to Serve Alcohol at Third Location

Starbucks Coffee Co. (Seattle) plans to offer beer and wine at its Issaquah, Wash., store, becoming the third Starbucks to offer adult beverages. The other two stores offering it are in Seattle and Portland, Ore.

The Issaquah location will undergo a renovation, starting in August and should be completed in late September, reports the Issaquah Press. The proposed design includes reclaimed wood, including a bar fashioned from salvaged telephone poles, and a metal-and-wood art piece inspired by the area’s autumn salmon run. The store will also get a Clover brewing system, which uses vacuum methods to produce a cup of coffee considered superior to the result from a drip coffee maker.
