Starwood Plans to Add 300 Hotels

Hotel and leisure company Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. plans to expand with 300 new hotels slated to open in the next three to four years.

Starwood’s plans call for 80 to 100 new hotels this year, with more than 20 in China. By 2012, the company plans to double its Chinese properties and increase its locations in India by 60 percent. It currently has 26 hotels in India.

Starwood’s brands include St. Regis, Westin and Sheraton.
