Stein Mart’s Ceo Retires

David Stovall Jr. stepped down as ceo of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Stein Mart Inc. after three years in the position.

Chairman Jay Stein will serve as interim ceo as the discount chain searches for a permanent ceo.

Robert Mettler, who is a director at Stein Mart and former chairman and ceo of Macy’s West, will lead the search for Stovall’s replacement.
