SteinMart Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.), the 93-year-old off-price retailchain, announces a reorganization of its management team. John WilliamsJr. moves from president and coo to vice chairman and ceo, effectiveSeptember 1. Williams succeeds Jay Stein, chairman and ceo since 1989,who continues as chairman. Additionally, Michael Fisher has beenpromoted from executive vp of stores to president and coo, while MichaelRay has been named senior vp and director of stores, overseeing the235-store chain.
