Stuart Weitzman Opens Hong Kong Store

Stuart Weitzman Holdings LLC (New York) has opened a new store in Hong Kong, designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid.

The 970-square-foot store, in Hong Kong’s IFC mall, has clear materials and curvilinear lines that, at a distance, resemble the outline of a woman’s high heel shoe.

This is Hadid’s second project with Stuart Weitzman, a division of The Jones Group Inc. (New York). She designed the concept store in Milan that opened last week. “They are part of the same family but they are not identical,” Hadid told Women’s Wear Daily.

Of this store, she said, “It’s a small, compact space, so it’s really about making fluid interiors. Other than the design, [it’s about] the elevation: the desk, the shelving, the seating, so it’s [creating] a whole world from that space.”
