Stylmark ceo and president Ken Ritterspach to retire… and More

Stylmark, Inc. (Minneapolis) announced that Ken Ritterspach will retire as president and ceo of the company. Ritterspach was held that post for the past five years, during which time the company acquired Interlock Structures. In other company news, Stylmark has appointed Steve Boersma as regional sales manager for the Southeast.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

The Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas has announced the independently judged winners of its Apex & Content Awards for 2010. In the retail category, the following awards were given:

• Gold – Miele Inspirience Centre with Scala, Inc.

• Silver – Sprint Studio Store with Scala, Inc.

• Bronze – Turk Telekom Group/TTGaleri with Dreambox

Triad (St. Louis) has been granted FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody Certification by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). SCS is accredited by the FSC to certify companies to their international standards.

GestureTek (Sunnyvale, Calif.) video gesture control software for interactive displays, games and entertainment is being used in several exhibits in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, during the Olympics.

Southern Imperial Inc. (Rockford, Ill.) has expanded its display and store fixture capabilities with the addition of a new division: ILP Intelligent Loss Prevention. ILP features retail loss prevention innovations that both protect and promote products.

OBITUARY

David Leslie Lew, 48, of Oakland, Calif., passed away after a 2-1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a vp at McCall Design Group in San Francisco, an architectural firm.
