Blimpie International Inc. (Atlanta) has opened the company’s first Blimpie Xpress restaurants in Wal-Mart Supercenters in Ocala and Summerfield, Fla.

These first-ever Blimpie Xpress/Wal-Mart restaurants are also the first application of the new Blimpie Xpress concept. More than 100 additional Blimpie Xpress restaurants will open in Wal-Mart locations across the country over the next year.

Blimpie is the third-largest submarine sandwich chain (behind Subway and Quizno’s), with about 1500 franchised locations in the US and eight other countries.
