Sweetgreen to Open First “Sweetlane” Drive-Thru Restaurant

Sweetgreen (Los Angeles) announced it will open its first “Sweetlane” concept in Schaumburg, IL within the next year.

The new pilot restaurant will feature Sweetgreen’s traditional dine-in services with the addition of a “sweetlane,” a drive-thru lane that caters to digital customers. The space will also feature a round observation window for customers in their cars to watch food prep as they pick up their orders.

Customers will place orders in advance through Sweetgreen’s digital platform. In a release, Sweetgreen said 50 percent of its total revenue in 2021 came through orders placed on its app and website. Pick-up orders may also be placed inside the restaurant.
