Specialty apparel chain The Talbots Inc. (Hingham, Mass.) reports its ceo Trudy Sullivan plans to retire once her replacement has been found, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Sullivan, who previously served as president of Liz Claiborne Inc., joined the company in 2007. During her time at Talbots, the brand updated its merchandise offering to appeal to a younger customer base and merged with BPW Acquisition Corp.

Talbots recently reported a third-quarter loss of $22 million and announced it would reduce its fleet and suspend some of its advertising.
