Target Continues Remodel Program

Target Corp. (Minneapolis) has initiated remodels at 90 general merchandise stores across the U.S., which are expected to be completed in June. The remodeled locations will carry a full selection of fresh foods.

“We are excited to incorporate our enhanced food assortment into additional stores in June,” says Annette Miller, senior vp, grocery, Target. “By remodeling these stores, we bring an expanded offering of fresh food and added convenience to our guests in these communities.”

The June stores will be the second of three cycles of remodels for Target this year, and represent locations across the country, from Des Moines, Iowa, to El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

The mass merchant offers an expanded food layout at nearly 1000 stores, with approximately 10,000 square feet dedicated to fresh foods, including fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods, in addition to dry and frozen offerings.
