Target Names New Chief Digital and Product Officer

Target (Minneapolis) has named a new Chief Digital and Product Officer, Prat Vemana, who will start at the company Oct. 31. He will report to Cara Sylvester, Chief Guest Experience Officer, according to a company press release.

Vemana was previously Senior VP and Chief Digital Officer for Kaiser Permanente, a healthcare company based in Oakland, Calif.

Target’s CEO Brian Cornell says, “Digital continues to be a major growth driver for Target, and we’re excited for Prat to bring his proven expertise in this area to an elevated role in our leadership team.”

Vemana will be responsible for Target’s digital teams, including digital operations, products, site merchandising and user experience. He will also help oversee Target+.
