Teen Retailer Makes Weiss Move

Delia's Corp., the New York-based teen apparel company, hasappointed Andrea Weiss to president. She replaces Evan Guillemin, whowill become coo.

Weiss left a position as chief stores officer at Limited Inc. inJanuary. During her career, she has made a name for herself as anotable store operations executive for several retailers, includingAnnTaylor, Walt Disney and Guess?.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the move is intended to helpthe eight-year-old company become more competitive in the retailmarket. Beginning as a catalog retailer, Delia's also runs a web site- www.delias.com – and operates 36 stores in the Northeast andMidwest.
