TGI Fridays Launching Small-Format Concept

TGI Fridays (Carrollton, TX) is rolling out a new small-format concept called Fridays on the Fly that will focus on filling delivery and takeout orders, Chain Store Age reports.

The 2500-square-foot restaurant will have a smaller dining space than the chain’s traditional locations, the article says. Construction has begun on the first Fridays on the Fly, but the location has not yet been announced.

“Now that we’ve sustained strong off-premise growth, we can continue our efforts evolving the Fridays experience to meet customer trends, both in-restaurant and off-site,” said Ray Blanchette, CEO of TGI Fridays.

TGI Fridays has more than 700 locations worldwide, including 309 in the U.S.
