Uber (San Francisco) and The Body Shop (London) announced this week the expansion of their partnership to include almost all of the beauty company’s retail stores across the U.S. Now, cities in Illinois, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania and even Alaska and Hawaii, can shop for The Body Shop products through Uber Eats.
The grand expansion follows a 2020 pilot program in six locations by a Uber and The Body Shop, where ordering and delivery through the Uber Eats or Cornershop app was offered. On Thursday, 75 storefronts made available more than 2000 of the beauty retailer’s most popular items through the Uber Eats app. Uber One members benefit from free delivery on all The Body Shop orders with $15 minimum purchase.
“Two years since The Body Shop pilot program with Uber Eats began, we’re thrilled to expand our partnership to now offer reliable, fast, same-day delivery to all of our U.S. customers, in 75 stores across the country,” says Aliza Birnberg-Perruzzi, AVP, of U.S. Marketing. “Uber Eats allows us to continue to meet our existing customers changing shopping habits and grow our customer base by meeting the needs of the beauty consumer in the U.S. today.”
The expanded partnership marks Uber’s commitment to serving as the right hand to the retail and grocery industries’ e-commerce platforms.
