The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., hosted a week-long 50th birthday party for America's favorite beagle. The mall is home to Camp Snoopy, a themed amusement park in the center of the complex. It was a fitting host to the “50 Years of Peanuts” festivities, which featured prolific signage for Charles Schulz's cartoon characters. The shopping center was adorned with 3280 square feet of promotional 3M graphics, with 9-by-12-foot logos greeting visitors at the entrance. Once inside, shoppers followed 130 giant paw prints on the floor, some of which offered Peanuts trivia, to a location for “Paw Port” stamping — a process that entered them in a contest for free rides in the park.
