“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” Marches Up Fifth Avenue

To commemorate the kickoff of the fifth and final season of Prime Video’s comedy series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” on April 14, a blocks-long section of Fifth Avenue in New York will host a pop-up campaign titled “Maisel Tov,” Marketing Dive reports. The Saks Fifth Avenue flagship will play a starring role in the presentation, which will also feature a mile-long pink carpet and brand ambassadors dressed in ’60s attire who will help direct and offer consumers a map detailing the show’s New York filming spots.

Overall, MD reports, the presentation will feature various stops reflecting various seasons of the show, including the Gaslight Café, a photo op from a resort in the Catskills, and cocktail kits at a faux Fontainebleau in Miami.

The Saks Fifth Avenue flagship will feature vintage cars and taxis parked alongside the store and offerings of black and white cookies from Manischewitz. Additionally, for two weeks, the center six windows of the store will be home to original looks from all five seasons of the show, crafted by costume designer Donna Zakowska. Throughout the day of the pop-up event, eight dance performances will be hosted in front of the six windows, organized by series choreographer Marguerite Derricks.

Inside the store, consumers can visit the dressing room from the Wolford set, a key element of season four, to view original props, costumes and set pieces. The same dressing room can also be seen on the northwest corner of 51st Street, where consumers will be offered a free lipstick packaged in a themed case. The mile concludes on the northwest corner of 54th Street, where a final display celebrating the title character Midge’s triumphs will be situated, so that attendees can give a final “Maisel Tov” to her.
