Tiffany & Co. (New York) has promoted Frederic Cumenal to president and appointed him to a newly-created seat on the company’s board.

Cumenal had been executive vp overseeing Asia-Pacific, Japan, Europe and the emerging markets region. He is a former president and ceo of the Moët & Chandon unit of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (Paris).

In his new role, Cumenal will retain his regional responsibilities and assume responsibility for the design, merchandising and marketing functions. He will report directly to chairman and ceo Michael Kowalski.
