Tom Ford has announced the opening of two new flagship stores, in Chicago and Dallas.
As reported in Women’s Wear Daily, the 4700-square-foot Chicago store will open in August in an old movie theatre on Oak Street, a half-block off Michigan Avenue.
The Esquire Theatre, which closed in 2006, has been turned into a high-end shopping complex. Last month, Crain’s Chicago Business reported that Dolce & Gabanna and Carolina Herrera would be opening there. So is Buccellati, the Italian jeweler.
The ground floor of the Tom Ford store will feature 15-foot ceilings and marble floors, with VIP rooms enveloped in ivory ultrasuede situated upstairs.
The 5000-square-foot Dallas store will open in September in Highland Park Village. WWD reported that “the design scheme includes Newport white marble floors, mirrored walls, an Alexander Calder mobile and Makassar ebony fixtures.”
The Tom Ford brand now has five U.S. stores – also including New York, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, Calif. – and 95 around the world.
