Toys “R” Us Building N.J. Store

Toys “R” Us (Wayne, N.J.) is planning to open a three-story, 55,000-square-foot store in New Jersey’s American Dream project in the Meadowlands, which is currently under construction. The store is expected to open in the fall of 2017.

The new location is not replacing its Manhattan flagship, which is scheduled to close later this year. The company is still scouting locations in midtown Manhattan to relocate that store.

The company also refuted earlier claims from the mall’s developers that it would be building an FAO Schwarz store in the complex. Instead, the Toys “R” Us store being built will feature FAO Schwarz-branded toys, reports The Record.
