Tuesday Morning Names New CEO

Dallas-based discount retailer Tuesday Morning has named Fred Hand as its new CEO, according to a press release. He will assume the role effective May 17 and will also serve on the board of directors.

“I am honored and thrilled to take on the role as Tuesday Morning’s next CEO. Tuesday Morning is an iconic brand with a great opportunity to lead in the off-price retail sector,” Hand said in a statement. “I look forward to working closely with the company’s board, management team and talented associates to take the company to the next level. I am motivated to build this organization to one that will not just compete but win.”

Hand was most recently Principal and COO for Burlington Stores Inc. (Burlington, N.J.), where he was responsible for leading its stores and real estate organizations. Prior to that role, he was the retailer’s Executive VP of Stores and has also held senior leadership positions at Macy’s, Filene’s and The May Department Stores Co.
