Tumi Names Joseph Gromek Chairman

Tumi Holdings Inc. (South Plainfield, N.J.) has named Joseph Gromek as chairman.

Gromek, a former president and ceo of The Warnaco Group Inc. (New York) and a Tumi director for nearly two years, replaces Richard  Hanson, who stepped down as chairman earlier this week of the high-end luggage brand.

Gromek had also been president and ceo of Brooks Brothers Inc. (New York) from 1996 to 2002. He retired from Warnaco, which is now part of PVH Corp. (New York), in February 2012.
