Uniqlo Opens First L.A. Store

Japanese fast fashion retailer Uniqlo (Tokyo) entered the Los Angeles market last Friday with a store opening at the Beverly Center shopping center, according to the Los Angeles Times. The store is one of four that have debuted in Southern California in recent weeks.

Uniqlo currently operates more than 1300 stores worldwide, including 31 in the U.S. The retailer, owned by Japanese holding company Fast Retailing Co., had global sales of $11.2 billion last year.
