Uniqlo, a division of Fast Retailing Co. (Yamaguchi City, Japan), reported its same-store sales increased by 6.4 percent for the month of June, while sales at directly-managed stores (includes existing stores and stores open less than a year) increased by 11.5 percent. Total sales including direct sales increased by 11.8 percent.

The company attributes the sales growth to its aggressive sales and marketing activities that have helped boost customer numbers.

During this time, the company opened one store, bringing its store total to more than 700 locations.
