UnitedHealthcare (Minneapolis) opened its 23rd store in the U.S. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Los Angles’ Koreatown district on June 18. The new Asian Resource Center caters to Medicare eligible Korean-Americans in the neighborhood, as well as existing customers of the company’s health insurance services, with bilingual staff, customer service providers and wellness education.
The store marks the company’s fifth location in California, and its staffers will seek to enroll consumers in the company’s Medicare plans and promote its services to small businesses in the area.
“Neighborhood centers like the UnitedHealthcare Asian Resource Center in Los Angeles' Koreatown give people convenient access to local resources and support that can help them learn more about their health care coverage options,” said Tom Paul, chief consumer officer, UnitedHealthcare, in a press release. “We look forward to serving Koreatown residents at this new center and expanding this model to serve additional communities around the country.”
