Universal Display Hires Two in NY… and More Industry News

Universal Display & Design (London and New York), a manufacturer of mannequins, forms and display products, has made the following hires at its New York office/showroom: Bill Conklin, director of sales; and Anthony Lombardi, design director. Conklin was previously with Patina-V, while Lombardi was with D.K. Display. Universal also announced that Richard Rollison, formerly its executive vp in New York, no longer works for the company.

Starbucks Coffee Co. (Seattle) has appointed Annie Young-Scrivner global chief marketing officer, Michelle Gass to the newly created post of president, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and John Culver president, global consumer products and foodservice.

F.C. Dadson SIB LLC (Greenville, Wis.), a provider of custom retail environments, displays and kiosks, has promoted Larry Myer to vp, new business development.

TRIAD Mfg. Inc (St. Louis), a creator of retail fixturing and store environments, has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Suppliers Network.

Yabu Pushelberg (Toronto and New York), an interior design firm, announced the October release of a 220-page book that will detail several of its high-profile retail, restaurant, hotel and residential projects. Case studies within the book include Louis Vuitton, Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany & Co., Carolina Herrera, Lane Crawford, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and St. Regis Hotels.

Almo Professional A/V (Philadelphia), a value-added distributor serving professional audio/visual integrators, dealers and consultants, announced that its sales force has successfully completed the Digital Signage Certified Expert program.

Renaissance Lighting (Herndon, Va.), a developer of solid-state LED downlight fixtures, has been selected as a GoingGreen Top 100 Winner by AlwaysOn, in advance of its annual GoingGreen West Conference. The honor is given annually to privately held, emerging companies that create new business opportunities in green technology.
