Versace Opens Chicago Flagship

Versace (Milan) has opened a new flagship in Chicago, located at 933 Rush Street. The retailer formerly operated a store in the area but closed it in 2000.

The store design of the new, two-story, 4951-square-foot flagship mimics the retailer’s New York store in SoHo, which was created by Donatella Versace in collaboration with architect Jamie Fobert, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The new store features marble mosaic floors inspired by Byzantine churches, clear Perspex shelving and tables, a brass staircase and floor-to-ceiling windows. The store stocks an edited assortment of the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessory collections, as well as a small assortment of its homewares.
