Walgreens’ July Sales Up

Walgreens’ (Deerfield, Ill.) sales reached $6.39 billion for July, an increase of 6.1 percent when compared to the same fiscal month in 2013, while its July pharmacy sales increased by 9.5 percent.

Comparable store sales also rose by 5.2 percent, while calendar year-to-date sales for the first seven months were $44.51 billion, an increase of 5.9 percent from 2013.

The company opened eight stores in July and closed 30.
