Walmart Reinstates Mask Mandate for Workers

Walmart (Bentonville, Ark.) has reinstated its mask requirement for all workers – including those who have been vaccinated in areas with high infection rates – to wear masks, reports The Detroit News.

The retailer is also encouraging, though not requiring, customers to wear masks in stores in high infection rate areas as well. It will also bring back its “health ambassadors”, employees who will hand out masks at store entrances.

Employees will receive double the incentive – or $150 – to get vaccinated. Those already-vaccinated workers who received $75 as an incentive will receive another $75 in their next paychecks.
