Walmart Tests New Online Services

Walmart (Bentonville, Ark.) announced the testing of its new online subscription service modeled after Amazon.com Inc.’s (Seattle) Prime services. This new service would offer subscribers unlimited free three-day delivery for an annual fee of $50.

The company also revealed that it will test Walmart Pickup-Grocery, a new kiosk that allows customers to pickup online grocery orders from their cars.

Fortune reports that these new strategies are part of Walmart’s initiative to take on Amazon and stay ahead of Target Corp. (Minneapolis) in the e-commerce sector.
