Wawa Preps for Florida Expansion

Philadelphia gas and convenience store chain Wawa will open six stores in Orlando by the summer and another half-dozen more locations in the bay area by 2013.

Construction starts this spring at locations in Pinellas Park, South Tampa, Largo and Hillsborough County, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Wawa locations offer mega-sized filling stations with c-stores, which include made-on-site deli hoagies, gourmet coffees, fresh-baked goods and groceries 24/7.

The company operates 600 locations in the mid-Atlantic.
