Weak Sales Projections for Fourth of July

With 21 percent of Americans not planning to celebrate the Fourth of July, retail sales projections look bleak, USA Today reports. Midwesterners are expected to spend the most, but the mid-week placement of the holiday isn’t helping. A National Retail Federation survey found that 68 percent of Independence Day celebrators plan to host or attend a barbecue.
