The Great Indoors, a discount chain started by Sears (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has opened a new store in Woodbury N.J.

The store's offerings include a variety of home items, including pots and pans, ceramic tiles, kitchen and bathroom appliances and audio and video equipment. It also features approximately 100 vignettes to show off completed decorating schemes. The store also includes a Starbucks and a staff of in-house designers, available to help with decorating ideas.

Robert Rodgers, senior vp and general manager, The Great Indoors, describes the store as a combination of Home Depot Expo, Circuit City, Linens & Things, Bed Bath & Beyond and Fortunoff.

“We base our stores around a great kitchen, a great bathroom, a great bedroom and the great room, which might have a home theater,” Rodgers says.

The Great Indoors currently operates 19 stores in 10 states.
