Cost Plus Inc. (Oakland, Calif.) has opened its newest Cost Plus World Market location in Folsom, Calif., in the Broadstone Plaza. The 18,000-square-foot unit — designed, like the others, to resemble an “upscale Third World marketplace,” according to the company — is the company's fourth store in the Sacramento area.

Cost Plus Inc. operates more than 150 World Market stores in 19 states, primarily in the West. It is opening nearly 25 stores per year as it expands eastward.
