Whole Foods Market (Austin, Texas) has opened a new, 42,000-square-foot store in New York’s Financial District. Located at 66 Broadway, the store’s design pays homage to the art deco history of the building housing it, with Wall Street- and Financial District-inspired influences.
The new location’s product assortment features more than 1000 local items from New York City and the surrounding area. This latest store gives Whole Foods 18 locations in New York: 14 in Manhattan and four in Brooklyn.
Meantime, about 2200 miles to the west, Whole Foods plans to open its first store in Montana. That 32,000-square-foot locale, in Bozeman, begins operations Feb. 1.
Designed with outdoor adventure in mind, the store features a modern and earthy look including exposed wood beams, high ceilings and large paneled windows overlooking the nearby mountains, along with a heated outdoor patio.
Whole Foods Market, which is owned by Amazon (Seattle), has more than 500 stores in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
