Wilson Opens First Store

Wilson Sporting Goods Co. (Chicago) has opened its first physical store in Chicago, according to a company press release. Located at 932 N. Rush Street, the interior is set at 2247 square feet and offers a range of apparel and sports goods. With a “leather-inspired … signature scent,” the space showcases historical sports relics and also has a feature allowing customers to alter the store’s music playlist.

The store will serve as testing grounds for the retailer’s new products and will facilitate gathering feedback from both customers and athletes.

Gordon Devin, President of Wilson Sportswear, says, “Following the launch of our Wilson Sportswear line earlier this summer, it was important that we introduce physical retail locations so that our athletes can experience and interact with our sports equipment and apparel in person. Our first-ever retail location centers around Wilson’s heritage, serving as a physical ‘love letter’ to our city.”
